We’re proud to share some exciting news from our team.
Live Love Ride, the team behind Bike Tours Spain, has been recognised at the 2026 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards, receiving two awards in the Tour Operators category:
Gold Award – Tour Operators, Overall
Silver Award – Tour Operators, Service

Presented by Travel Weekly and organised by Northstar, the Magellan Awards recognise excellence across the travel industry, including hotels, destinations, cruise lines and tour operators from around the world.
For our team, receiving both Gold and Silver is particularly meaningful because it recognises two things at the heart of the cycling experiences we create: the quality of the journey itself and the service behind it.
Although the award was given to our cycling experience in Portugal’s Alentejo region, the philosophy behind it extends across everything we do at our Bike Tours in Spain.
We believe the best way to experience a destination by bicycle is not simply to connect one hotel to another.
It means finding the roads that are genuinely enjoyable to ride, choosing places to stay with character, discovering the food and wine of each region and giving riders enough time to experience the landscapes and communities they are travelling through.
It also means taking care of everything that happens behind the scenes: quality bikes, carefully designed routes, luggage transfers, knowledgeable guides, local support and the small details that allow our guests to simply enjoy the ride.
That same approach shapes our cycling tours throughout Spain.
Spain offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes for cyclists.
In Andalucía, quiet mountain roads connect whitewashed villages, olive groves and historic cities.
In the Basque Country, challenging riding is combined with one of Europe’s great food cultures and a spectacular Atlantic coastline.
Further north, La Rioja brings together vineyards, historic towns and peaceful roads through one of Spain’s most celebrated wine regions.
Along the Mediterranean, Catalonia and Girona offer exceptional cycling terrain, while Mallorca combines famous mountain climbs with beautiful coastal roads and villages.
And for riders looking for a journey with a completely different character, the Camino de Santiago offers the opportunity to cross Spain by bicycle while following one of Europe’s great historic pilgrimage routes.
Different landscapes, different cultures and very different riding – but the principle behind each journey remains the same: experience the destination rather than simply pass through it.

Awards are never the reason we create cycling trips, but recognition like this matters.
The Gold Award for Tour Operators – Overall reflects the complete experience, while the Silver Award for Tour Operators – Service recognises something our team works particularly hard on: making every journey feel seamless, personal and well supported.
Much of that work is invisible to the rider.
It happens while researching roads, selecting hotels, testing routes, preparing bikes, working with local partners and adapting countless details so that when our guests arrive, they can concentrate on what they came for: riding great roads and discovering somewhere new.
These awards also belong to the people who make our journeys possible.
To our guests who have travelled with us, returned for another tour and recommended us to fellow cyclists: thank you.
And to our guides, hotels, restaurants, local producers, mechanics, drivers and partners across the world, thank you for helping us create the experiences we are proud to share.
Receiving Gold and Silver at the 2026 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards is an important milestone for our team – and motivation to keep improving the cycling experiences we offer on both sides of the Iberian Peninsula.
